US

We are Terry and Andreas. Terry is an associate professor in molecular and cellular biology. Andreas is a professor in integrative biology. We started this project in the winter of 2021 out of our frustration with the increasing costs of publishing, when the publishers are making 25-35% profit margins and our research budgets are remaining stagnant and even decreasing. On top of that, their incessant requests to review makes us think that publishers are milking us for all we are worth. Hence our icon is a dairy cow. We think there has to be a better way and we don’t think we are alone.
